Just a quick post...

Couple of pics for your viewing pleasure. First up is a quick digital sketch and colour study, something i was toying with for a new full piece. Second is a charcoal drawing with a quick digital wash over the background, hopefully i will get this one a bit more developed soon.

Its the CIA 'consequences' show opening night tomorrow, which should be cool, if i remember i will take some pics of the night and post them up.

Color sketch is dynamite! What brushes do you find work the best in Painter for this kind of stuff, it's really nice and organic. Really cool.

hi owen, the colour study is actually done in artrage2, amazing little app and possibly the cheapest one out there can can recreate thick oils.

theyve also just updated it with a really nice bunch of little improvements- it isnt a massive app like painter or PS, the amount of tools is actually quite small, but its great for sketching etc, and actually has a few features that i wish were in painter lol

Ah, brilliant! Thanks for the info. It seems like art tool limitations can often times be a blessing in disguise, I'm looking forward to checking it out now. Thanks again!
